Yogyakarta - Day 3

yogya welcome us wif another sunny day :)

sunshine, hot but windy~ good weather made me feel fresh and cheered me up the entire day...here u go for our homestay...

our rooms

breakfast, everyday the same, except the way they prepare is difference, day 1 scrambled egg,, day 2 omelets, day 3 sunny up

done wif our breakfast... met wif the driver, forgot what is his name, to allign wif indo culture, we had to call him Bapak...while internally we named him Yaprom! LOL...the same name as our bangkok's driver...and stupid ork, keep greeting this driver as Yaprom and made him confused like a blur ass!! hahaha!

the volcano was the 1st spot we visited, which known as Mount Merapi...it tooked us abt 2hours+ to reach~ *phew*

any1 tell me what is ketep pass??

love this photo~

outstanding scene~! tat's the volcano and it is still active~ just exploded few months b4 wi went *scary*

without doubt the whole volcano is in ur eyes, simply awesome! we went for our tea break (we owaz tea break...haha) after 1 hour of wandering on the hill...

soto ayam...taste good! esp when u take with the sambal..!

u can find this bakso mee everywhere in indo...mee wif fishball, beefball...all kinda meatball...it came in a small portion, so every1 of them took 2 bowls! so u know how it tasted :)

this is a bit disgusting, choco cheese banana~

wat's next? haha...LUNCH! yes, u r seeing the words LUNCH~~ we went for ayam goreng suharti...which according to mr planner, tk...this is a famous specialities in yogya, a must to take~~ check it out...

this is the suharti fried chicken, came in a whole chicken...very very chispy, which is damn nice

this is a bit yucky for me, coz i dun take chicken intestines...!

my favourite! kangkung wif sambal...!

simply beancurd take wif the sambal below

taste very special, sweet n spicy! a small bite enough to make u scream like a moron!

soup...forgot wat soup, just remember it didnt taste goo

local named it Gado-Gado...sumthg like our Malay rojak, to me, it tasted very weird :p may b i am the weirdo...tat's y...~~haha

after the lunch we went for candi prambanan...borobudur is a buddist temple, while Prambanan is masterpieces of Hindu architecture... it is the biggest temple complex in Java island. there are 224 temples in the complex; three towering temples on the central terrace dominate the complex. Those are Brahma Temple in the North, Visnu Temple in the South and the biggest among the three which lies between Brahma and Visnu is Çiwa Temple which soars up to 47 meters high.

well, if u familiar with hinduism, u will surely interested in this...in fact, i kinda impressed with yogya tourisms, every of these heritage spots consist of video room, dey explain all the stories behind (although u need to food extra bill :|)...which recall u the histories...dont forget we did learn all these in our sejarah...

magnificient, huh? it is the best seen shortly after dawn or in the late afternoon. However it is still beautiful at any time...

so upset to see the heritage has been destroyed like tat...a lot of the small candi surrounded the main complex has been ruinned like this, due to most of them has been abandoned den neglected for decades, even worse the temples themselves collapsed during an earthquake in the 16th century. Half-hearted excavations by the archaeologists in 1880s only facilitated looting. Proper restoration began only in 1930 and continues today...

the place where we took most of the photos~ the bizarre n funny 1...haha

a lots said this gal looks nice in there, it actually make me happy for quite some while!! ahhahahah!!

somethg happened in between...u c, none of us love sun tanning, so we rented 3 pairs of umbrella...however, during our photo taking, we located them at a corner of the candi...just few mins later we found 2 of 'em missing...since nth we could do...we proceed wif whatever...when we abt to exit the candi...we tried to play hide n seek, too bad the da umbrella owner spotted us and chased us for a long distance...it was rather funny than scary...!! hahahaha...BUT, if u think we were bad, pls DON'T...coz we have been conned...the umbrella rental is abt 3-5MYR, but tat fella rented us rm20!!!

we met the mr. so called yaprom, (none of us know his real name till today..haha) fetched us abt 6pm and backed to our homestay...we straight took the beca (tricycle) to molioboro, yogya city to have dinner...the city amazed me indeed... shopping complex in an old city like this, is equiped with wifi...! the whole building!

c their traditions...

unexpectedly, they hav pizza hut, mcd there...a lotsa famous restaurants...spotted my favourite JCO too...their local product :) haha! forgive my "shua kur ness"

their pizza menu is better than we do! fancy food n a lotsa variety! the beef sausages were finger licking good!

the pizza look fancy, huh? well, not so nice :p haha
we owaz take stuff crust pizza, where we hav the cheeese stuffed inside, while they stuffed fish finger inside...

we shopped in the dunno what mall for whole nite...even suprised, they have osh kosh there, having big sale, bought some for my colleagues! another funny thg happen, which we finally could c chua showed his temper!! too bad we didnt video up!

we went back to the guesthouse which is.......the horse cart/carriage...kinda pity the horses -__-"

at night....we fully utilized the facilities *grin* we swam, pool side sweet talk n beer beer beeeeer!!! tat's our everytimes favourite!!!

Yogyakarta - Day 2

Anyone serious about seeing Borobudur should consider staying at the Hotel Manohara...its location simply can't be beat and the rates are reasonable...a night at the hotel includes unlimited access to the temple, plus, for an extra $15, the opportunity to access Borobudur before sunrise and importantly...before it is open to the general public...

we have signed up for the tour to visit borobudur in the pre-dawn in order to experience the sunrise...we need to gather abt 4am and every1 was given a small torchlight...we reached the temple abt 4:30am with very sleepy face...da sky was really dark, what we could do is wait n posing the camera for the best view....

however, a bit dissapointed as the hast was very heavy...the view wasnt really perfect...since we were hungry and every1 looked sleepy funny face...we went for buffet breakfast and backed to hotel to rest for a while...

notice me? with a towel on me...too cold~~ n i 4got to bring jersey...every1 hair was uncomb...haha

1 more "family photo" b4 we off for breakfast...impressive isnt it?

tk, CL, jp and i went back borobudur to take photo abt 9am...though it looked 10am+...the crowd was so scary!!! full of local n foreigner!! luckily we get the chance to take the whole borobudur just now, else i dun c any chance we can take the paranomic view...

the weather is hot, but still bearable...esp when i see the sky colour i love...it is very "sky blue" and the white cloud can be seen so obvious...i hate grey colour cloud...

too bad...a lotsa buddha head has been stolen...

i love all the photos we took in Yogya esp these...all have been taken in sunny day...

we packed and departed from Hotel Manohara b4 noon...we have booked for 4 days transportation wif CL's fren, it was MPV...the uncle, whom they call as Bapak fetch us for lunch after we checked out the hotel...

we took Nasi Padang as our lunch...sounds fancy, but it is actually our econs rice...malay econs rice 2 be precise :p the food are ok, average, but it was expansive, which probably because we are tourists...~~ so they just potong harga...can u imagine an egg cost IDR 8k ~ RM2.8??

things like tat, cost us total of 250k IDR ~ RM90...we eat like a millionaire -___-|| by end of the tour we found tat eat in proper restaurant is way more cheaper than roadside coffee shop...so pls be alert when u be there...!!

the next stop after lunch was Water Rafting! i've been so eager 2 try water rafting!! now's my turn *wink wink* it took abt 3 hours to finish the river rafting, the whole journey was perfectly wonderful for us~ we laughed the moment we stepped in the raft...throughout the 3 hours journey, we've been dumped in the river, swam in it, hit by the paddles and more to go...! it was very enjoyable, i am utterly fall in love with this sport! tat moment, i asked myself since when i did not laugh happily like this?

at night, we moved into backpacker hotel...RM40 per pax...unexpectedly, princess (according to celta mates) like me has no problem 2 overnight in this kinda environment :p to my suprise, this homestay is way better than what i imagined (@ least equiped wif aircon, heater and toilet is clean)...every morning breakfast provided, a big swimming pool and mainpoint is, it is in middle of yogya town...

really happy today :) how great if everyday i am enjoying life like this?

Yogyakarta - Day 1

u wont know how excited i was on this day, i've waited 4 soooooo long!! it was an annual trip for celta, my best buddies!! :):) this yr, Yogyakarta was set as target!

i've been to Lake toba when i was in secondary yr 1, indonesia gav a very bad impression to me... esp the water...all we can drink was mineral water...luckily Yogya turn out to be a very good city to travel...
Yogyakarta, is the smellest province of Indonesia, which located on the Java island...it is also known as Jogjakarta...it is a city with outstanding historical and cultural heritage...i love history? yes, esp i owaz hav a history teller - ork to brief me all stories everytime we travel...haha

we reached at LCCT abt 10am, and our flight to Yogya was 1405...so we crawled half day in the airport, doing nth...haha! it was kinda relax too by just sit n crap :) n some poker game...with a mask on...sum snob keep staring at us, sum took our photo, how come malaysian dun have health awareness? *speechless*

*what??*

departing @ 1535 due to flight delay, if AA not delaying the flight den it will be abnormal, huh? luckily ork n chua having flight delay too from Bandung to Yogya...so we can meet up in Adisucipto airport...

the volcana in Yogya, still active...nice view?

it took abt 2+ hours to reach Yogya, and the time difference is 1 hour earlier than Malaysia...the sky was dark, it was 5pm+ but it looked like 7pm in malaysia...

well, we watsed a lotsa time before custom checking due to the disinfection process for H1N1, i am impressed with their health consciousness...esp a small city like this...malaysia has no way to compete...

we met up wif ork n chua den departed to our hotel...hotel manohara, which the hotel situated inside the borobudur temple compound...hotel welcomed us with some welcome drink, i forgot what was the snack named, but it tasted good...after check in, it was adi 8pm, and the sky was like 10pm in malaysia...since it is a bit late, so we took the dinner in the hotel restaurant... the food was as those online review, kinda awful...

singing? orchestra playing? i dunno...malay/indo culture...the music make me a bit drowsy :p

as usual, order beer in every country we travel is a must...here u go...the Bintang beer

after dinner, we backed to room and chat the hell out of the night...i dunno why when 6 of us gather we can chat n bullshit nonstop to watever stuff...haha! he said we all are kang jie, not sure u understand me?

my 1st day in yogya was a great start, hopefully it make the same for all days i travel in Yogya. :)

*cheers*
