HongKong Day 4

so lazee to continue...i wan to write abt yogya trip so much! it is still fresh...hongkong trip stink adi...LOL

the 1st station of the 4th day was Central aka Chung wan...for Chinese traditional dim sam

Many online reviews provide very good comment for this dimsam Restaurant, one of the unique attraction will be it still remains the old chinese (hongkie) custom of their specialities for dimsam...many old folks just sit and chat, some of them read newspaper and talk abt horse racing...easy n relax life...

however, may b i m too picky, the dimsam not really suit my tastebud...not much variety, too oily and big portion compare to those dimsam we take in malaysia...and when the dimsam is out, every1 just rushed without queueing to snatch the food.. *horrible*

done wif our breakfast den we took bus to ocean park...really impress with all the public transport for hk...so convenient, can access everywhere fast even without a car!
i've been to Ocean park when i was a kid...it was a wonderland for me...but now, it looks a bit old and outdated...to be honest, genting is even better :p tried lotsa kiddy stuff to kill time...too boring -__-"

Specially operate for me...coz i was the only customer
Panda is so cute! been many times to different place in china, but 1st time seeing a real panda sumroe in hk, i wish i can touch her...!
.....and we are cute too...hehe
"wasting our time" in Ocean park till 5pm+ den we take the same Ocean park shuttle backed to the city...went Tung Choi street to dine and shop again...:p
九龍燒味茶餐廳 (集團)Kowloon Chinese Style Restaurant, place we had dinner...famous for its roasted pork, goose, and duck! my comment? not bad but yet to be perfect :)

he ordered set, consist of the main course (Roasted pork, char siew = vege), milk tea plus the soup below

this was mine, roasted goose, with squid and vege...roaste goose is good, yet...i still adore da 1 oric bought us in GZ, tat was heaven!

Spent my night shopping in Tung Choi street, looking for sneaker, bought my lil' niece and newphew some Esprit clothes, look for cosmetics, same as last night...bla bla bla...and the last was to buy the Yuen Long Lo Po peng...to my suprise, they have outlet in nathan road...so good since i no need to travel far to get the souvenir bought...

here's the address:
Shop G5 A, San Hing Building, 605A Nathan Road, Mongkok
旺角彌敦道605A號新興大廈地下G5 A舖
well, tomorrow going back Malaysia...buying a lotsa curry fishball and grill octopus to heal my soul!!

HongKong Day 3

finally my 3rd post of hongkong :p so lazee to blog nowadays...hehe
kicked off our 3rd day with hongkie's breakfast (again?)..but difference restaurant...if u love dairy product, u should nv missed this...Yee Shun Milk Company (义顺牛奶公司), dey are good in double-steamed Milk Pudding, Steamed Egg Pudding as well as scambled egg...

althrough it looks so antique but it has a huge turnover of customers

moo moooooo

texture is super smooth...cant judge which 1 is better...yesterday or today? both are just great!

learned from yesterday experience, this time we ordered just 1 set...which include below...reasonable in price...

scambled egg...! wow, this egg is just heaven! no way to imagine till u try it!!

again? macaroni + ham + chicken broth...this is better than yesterday...i think :) but he said yesterday better?

milk tea, an include item in every set...no comment for this :p milk tea nv be my favourite...

the must visit spot for the day was lantau island, for the giant buddha as well as SHOPPING in varies factory outlets...!!! so excited!! hehe..!

the route will be Mongkok > Lai Keng > Tung Chung

bakery shop @ Tung Chung station, slyvene mentioned the lau poh peng from this is very nice...so i gave it a try...dunno how to compare to Yuen Long lou poh peng...as both tasted a bit difference...both oso within my liking...

the view is just magnificient!!

amazing!!!

the Giant Buddha located at Ngong Ping Village, there are 2 routes from Tung Chung MTR station to Ngong Ping Village, either bus or cable car...of course i wouldnt bus...*grin* mentioned about the cable car, there are actually 2 types...standard vs crystal cabin...which the latter 1 is fully transparent, where u stand on is transparent as well...sounds cool? i didnt aware of this until i read an article abt this on my way to yogja...-__-' not sure how much is the price, but definately way expansive compare with the standard cabin - HKD 96 for round trip...

we took abt 25mins to reach Ngong Ping village...well, nth so special abt the village, series of retail stores/shop houses...can get things like stabucks, aji iciban and so on...we used about 20mins 2 reach the giant buddha...the statue is really HUGE!! and it is the world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha...

ngong ping village

cool, huh?? it is just so HUGE~

after this we proceed to the "wisdom path"...the walking distance abt 2km (i guess)...took us more than 20mins..!! it is so far and very deep inside where no1 actually aware abt this amazing spot...it consists of 38 wooden columns each adorned by calligraphic work of the heart sutra, a mantra that is universally accepted and respected by Buddhists...

the HUGE mountain is in ur eyes! What a truly majestic sight!

according to colleague, must take this in lantau island...the tauhua is so soft!!! just melt in ur mouth!

Before head towards 2 hongkong...we had lunch 1 in of the japs restaurant in ngong ping village, the soba soup is way far from my liking...-___-" apart from that, there are bunch of online review mentioned about 滿記甜品 Honeymoon Dessert...so we gave it a try...well...for the rating, overall still good, but not perfect...hehe...am too fussy :p

mango pancake...not Mango enough..haha! the mango taste isnt rich enough to win my heart...and i dun like the cream in it...taste weird

this is not bad...kinda special...black seasame + glutinous

Right after this, we took the cable back to tung chung again...went to the biggest factory outlet!! tot it's going to be shopping paradise...bit dissapointed...turned out to be not...am i being fussy/choosy again??

took MTR backed to the hotel and moved all our stuff...coz we moved to another hotel...funny, huh? coz i wanted to try better hotel... moved to Cityview hotel...in Yau Ma Tei...very very near to my farvourite shopping street...!! Tung Chai street!! can get kinda sneakerrr!!! esp nike n converse!!!!! ^0^

hotel lobby, by seeing the hotel lobby, it gave me the confident that the room will be good...

way better than Largos...price is slighly increase only...still less than RM300(if not mistaken :p)...

after settling down, we straight aheaded to tung choi street...!! place i love the most in hongkong...! bought 1 nike n 1 converse...the price is cool and the shoes is cool!! esp nike RM150 only..!! and the model u cant find it in malaysia, ok? it is pink + metalic grey...look sweet...:)

whole nite was shopping n shopping, looked for iphone for fren, rm2500, according to her it is cheapest compare to everywhere? den we looked for sovenior, yuan long loh poh peng...bla bla bla...oh, my H20 as well! *wink wink*
too busy for shopping, so had McD as dinner...! tried pork burger (as i owaz do), miami likes pork than chicken :D and we can choose either french fries or curly fries...well, i adore curly fries owaz compare to french fries

few hours just not enough for an omost-shopaholic like me...hehe! not yet a shopaholic, @ least i am not owaz crave for branded stuff, huh!!
b4 backed to hotel, we grabbed some curry fishball (heaven!!!), grill octopu and smelly tauhu (yucks!!) as supper!! enjoying lastest series of tvb drama and munching my favourite snack food is definately the biggest satisfaction!! life is so wonderful...^0^

what do u think?

HongKong Day 2

Geezz!! after i updated my previous post i got many IM, ping me and scolded me for going hongkong again! so this is my fault huh?? -____-"

well, today will visit the everland - Disneyland!! very excited!! :)

Started my day with Australia Dairy Company, a must go destination if you keen to try what hongkie loves to eat every morning...it's having very good online review, so i know i must try! and i love it, my breakfast there just perfect! no DOUBT!

we reached there abt 9:30am...they welcomed me wif a long queue -___-"

Anyway, this cafe was famous for it's scambled egg, steam milk, and ginger egg custard...well, we were so greedy! we ordered a lot...of course couldnt finish 'em all :p haha!

Ginger egg custard, i like da ginger taste, not too strong, yet smell great

famous steam milk, so smooth and silky

we ordered breakfast set, a typical 1...not only look appetizing, but taste wonderful!

hong kong signature - coffee milk tea

this is nice, just a lil' regret i didnt order scambled egg which what they are famous for...

macaroni with ham and chicken soup/broth? i wish my mum know the recipe for this :)

once we finished our breakfast we took MTR and proceed to Disneyland...the route will be Mongkok > Lai Keng > Sunny Bay > Disneyland...*sweat*

cute, huh? Disney theme even inside the MTR

The entrance ticket is HKD 350 per pax...we went there on Saturday, not sure weekday will be cheaper? however, it wasnt a good day to snap photos...as it was very gloomy...

my favourite cartoon since i was a kid...i love minnie *smirk*

yeah, not to forget the parade, they have it everyday, dun miss it!

this is the moment every1 wait for! the iconic fireworks from the sleeping beauty castle!

haha...a bit paiseh, my disneyland journey just few photos and brief explanations...seriously, it is not big...just as every1 told me b4 i went...watever, i do enjoyed much over there...undeniable!

wat's next? time to talk abt the dinner! it was heavenly great! we went for wantan mee! 麥文記麵家 Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop...another must stop spot in hongkong! it has abt 50 yrs of history! am not a big fan for wantan noodles. but this is just awesome!

the noodles are so springy! and the prawn dumpling are juicy and extremely fresh! this is the best ever wantan noodles i have tasted! as if they were dancing in my mouth!

油菜 - which is Oil + Vege, without any other sauces...plain vege +oil...but the vege are very green n fresh!

these are not enough to fill my tummy...went 2 my favourite place - Hui Lau Shan!! tried last trip in hongkong, and i can nv forget how fantastic it tasted!

you can never miss this is u r mango lover! seeing the pic enough to make my saliva drool~~

done wif dinner and we had a walk in 庙街 aka Temple street...attraction targetted the foreign tourists...but obviously not malaysian...haha...as we can get most of the thg same in petalling street :p

backed 2 my hotel right after the walk in temple street...

thoughts of day: hongkong really a food paradise..! i had all good food today! and i really enjoyed them so much! tmr will continue my food exploration!

*Cheers*
